Adjuvant

An adjuvant is a substance added to crop protection products to increase their effectiveness and improve their application, without having any control activity itself, by optimizing properties such as adhesion, spreading, penetration, or anti-foaming. Examples include wetting agents (spreaders), adhesion agents (stickers), or anti-foaming agents that help herbicides and pesticides work better, for example by improving their adhesion to leaves or by improving absorption.
