Recently, the biostimulants Optimum Leaf and Optimum Bulb from producer Ad Terram were declared microplastic-free by Flustix. Both biostimulants are distinguished by their sustainable character and are permitted for use in organic cultivation.
Microplastics occur on a large scale in the environment, but their risks to humans and the ecosystem are largely unknown. Microplastics are small solid plastic particles (smaller than 5 millimetres) that are poorly soluble in water and do not biodegrade.
